Q (NST): Some ask why are you coming out with such strong condemnation of the chief minister only now. He has after all been in power for almost two years.
A (Zahrain): That is not true. I have been vocal over many issues since the Pakatan Rakyat state government was formed. I have been reminding the state leadership to buck up and deliver the election promises. I kept on reminding them that the March 2008 general election result was a protest vote by the voters as we were seen as an alternative at the time. So we must keep on improving ourselves to maintain the support from the rakyat and show that we are better than the previous government. That was why I was vocal against Lim over the deputy chief minister's post, the sacking of PKR Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP) chief whip Johari Kassim (who was later re-instated), the Kampung Lorong Buah Pala debacle and other issues.
Unfortunately, every time I spoke, I was being accused of being an Umno agent but I kept my patience. The question is for how long? I decided that I shouldn't keep mum when Malay entrepreneurs were being victimised by his double-standard enforcement policy.

Hak pengurusan BJCC harus open tender! no fraud!
